Business Delivery Manager – Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme 

Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme supports the development of Energy Efficient/Low Carbon products and services for SMEs within Coventry and Warwickshire through the provision of grants, workshops and 121 support.

The applicant will provide specialist business support to clients through provision of project activities. Alongside an aptitude for project management, the successful candidate will preferably be able to demonstrate experience in a business environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate in their application the ability to: 

  • To identify suitable clients and to support them through activities and build relationships 
  • To network with relevant regional stakeholders in order to promote the offer and deliver an effective service.
  • Represent CUE Ltd at meetings and external events as required.
  • To provide organisation, management, recruitment, and delivery of programmes of workshops, including some non-specialist facilitation as required.
  • To co-ordinate delivery, collate evidence and ensure compliance  for one to one support provision to SMEs
  • To maintain a relationship with the individuals/SMEs in order to monitor results and impact; and to explore further opportunities for intervention.
  • To provide marketing management and delivery for the project working to a plan to include PR, communications, website, social media, promotion at external events and database management,
  • To raise awareness of the project and identify new clients
  • To undertake procurement and meet with sub- contractors and monitor delivery against financial expenditure budget spreadsheets and activity milestones
  • To provide full financial project management to include monitoring budgets and compile and submit financial claims to funders alongside generic project management abilities
  • Work collaboratively with project partners across the University group 
  • To maintain individual programme activity, expenditure and performance records 
  • To ensure compliance with all legal and contractual requirements and customer service standards.

This role is a fixed term contract running until December 31st 2021.

Business Delivery Manager – Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme 

Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme supports the development of Energy Efficient/Low Carbon products and services for SMEs within Coventry and Warwickshire through the provision of grants, workshops and 121 support.

This role requires a close working relationship with the Centre for Built and Natural Environment at Coventry University. This Faculty Research Centre focuses on delivering solutions to close the design versus as-built performance gap found in the built environment.

To address issues identified by SMEs, you will be working closely with academics working in this area seeking to answer the overarching question: how do we ensure decision-making processes during building design, construction and operation reflect the whole life implications of building performance, the effects of occupant responses and perceptions, and the impact of future uncertainties?

In this role you will be required to undertake the following day to day tasks and responsibilities:

Co-ordinate groups of academics and SMEs to create and manage built and natural environment sector clustered working groups.

  • Design, develop and initiate working groups which will focus around generating research that aims to resolve and investigate sustainability issues such as future cities, future transport solutions
  • To identify suitable SMEs and academics and to support them through activities and relationship building

Disseminate findings from clustered working groups to participants and a wide range of sources and institutions

  • Analyse and compile reports based upon the findings of the working groups.
  • Understanding and engagement in research processes and activities.
  • Facilitate working group meetings and manage engagement of partners, working collaboratively with project partners across the University group.
  • Network with relevant regional stakeholders in order to promote the offer and deliver an effective service.
  • Maintain a relationship with the individuals/SMEs in order to monitor results and impact; and to explore further opportunities for intervention
  • Initiate, develop and manage networking and dissemination events for the project.
  • Represent CUE Ltd at meetings and external events as required.

Project management abilities

  • Support the marketing and delivery for the project working to a plan to include PR, communications, website, social media, promotion at external events and database management.
  • Provide evidence to support financial and output claims and monitor budgets and targets.
  • Maintain individual programme activity, expenditure and performance records.
