Case Study – Engaging Spaces

Danielle Thompson, Commercial Directotally new idea, called ‘Engaging Spaces’. Engaging Spaces as Danielle puts is the ‘Airbnb’ of meeting rooms and event spaces.

The website essentially allows the listing of under utilised, unusual and unique meeting room spaces to be booked for meetings, conferences and events.

The Focus Digital project run by Coventry University Enterprises and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), offers SME’s within Coventry and Warwickshire, Birmingham, Greater Birmingham, the Black Country and the Marches free one to life.

The first problem for Engaging Spaces was selecting a program. With so many projects out there supporting SME’s and offering grants, Danielle eventually decided on Focus Digital because of it’s specific knowledge in the digital sector, coupled with it’s match funded grants, made it the perfect fit for the Engaging Spaces website.

Dig a little deeper and it was Focus Digitals’ one to it’s speedy development.

With the time from the initial contact with Coventry University Enterprises in April 2017 to work on other things for Danielle, who knows, perhaps the next great idea!
